20 Jan 07 :Manipur retained the title by winning the Finals of 5th Girls U-19 National Football Championship 2006 .Manipur defeated Tamilnadu 5-0 in the Finals played at Indira Gandhi Stadium ,Pondicherry .Scorers: Parmeshwori Devi 9th,23rd & 61st minutes .Bembem Devi :22nd &52nd minutes. 

19 Jan 07 Defending Champions Manipur will play Tamilnadu in the Finals of  5th Girls U-19 National Football Championship to be played at Pondicherry on Saturday ,20 Jan 07.In the Semi Finals played on Thursday ,Manipur defeated Orissa 1-0 while Tamilnadu defeated Jharkhand 4-0.

17 Jan 07:Defending Champions Manipur will take on Runners up Orissa & Jharkhand face Tamilnadu in the semifinals of the 5th Girls U-19 National Football Championship to be played at Pondicherry on Thursday ,18 Jan 07.In the Group I of the Quarter Final League Manipur secured first position with 9 points followed by Jharkhand finished with 6 points.In Group II Tamilnadu & Orissa both finished with 7 points but Tamilnadu topped the group with better goal average (+14 ) than Orissa (+13).In the matches played on Wednesday Orissa were held to a 1-1 draw by Tamilnadu while Haryana and Delhi played a goalless draw in the inconsequential match in the Quarter Final League matches on Tuesday ,16 Jan 07.Scorers :Tamilnadu :P Usha Rani/7th min Orissa :Sradhanjali Sahoo/30th min.

Manipur defeated West Bengal 3-0 & Jharkhand defeated Chhattisgarh 4-0 in the Group I Quarter Final Round matches of 5^th Girls (U-19) National Football Championship 2006 played at Indira Gandhi Stadium,Pondicherry on Monday ,15 Jan 07.Manipur and West Bengal were tied goalless at the half time.Scorers :Manipur:L Naobi Chanu /43^rd & 51^st  minutes,M Mandakini Devi/49^th min.In the second match Jharkhand led 2-0 at the half time.Scorers :Jharkhand : Rita Kumari /18^th min ,Tireesima Soren/30^th min ,Priti Bala/60^th min & Misha Kachap /62^nd minute

I Prameshwori Devi’s 4 goals helped Manipur humble Jharkhand 7-0 & West Bengal  Chhattisgarh 1-0 in the Group I Quarter Final Round matches of 5^th Girls (U-19) National Football Championship 2006 played at Indira Gandhi Stadium,Pondicherry on Saturday ,13 Jan 07.Manipur led 4-0 at the half time.Scorers :Manipur : I Prameshwori Devi /19^th ,29^th ,31st ,46^thmin ,M Bembem Devi /35^th  & 61^st min & L Naobi Chanu 57^th min.

West Bengal defeated Chhattisgarh 1-0 in the second Group I  match .The winning goal came through Aduri Khatun  in the 60^th minute of the match.

Orissa beat Delhi 6-0 and Tamilnadu humbled Haryana 8-0 in Group II matches on Friday 12Jan07.

10 Jan 07: Delhi beat hosts Pondicherry 2-0 and Haryana defeated Jammu and Kashmir 4-0 to enter the Pre Quarter Final Round of 5th Girls (U-19) National Football Championship 2006 played at Indira Gandhi Stadium ,Pondicherry on Wednesday,10 Jan 07.Scorers :Delhi :Akanksha Kapoor & Kuhelika Guha.Haryana :Taruna Rani ,Minakshi (2) ,Richa Sharma.Meetu Singh accounted for Nine goals .

 

09 Jan 07 :Chhattisgarh ,Jharkhand register wins in Pre Quarter Final Round.  
Chhattisgarh beat Meghalaya 2-1 in a Pre quarter Final League match of 5th Girls (U-19) National Football Championship 2006 played at Indira Gandhi Stadium ,Pondicherry on Tuesday ,09 Jan 07.Chhattisgarh scored both the goals in the first half through Anamika Verma in 22nd minute and Piyas Bai in the 33rd minute.Balutman Nengnang reduced the margin for Meghalaya in the 61st minute.
In the second match of the day Jharkhand defeated Punjab 2-1.Jharkhand took an early lead through Malti Kumari in the second manute of the match.Punjab equalized in the 50th min through Maninder Kaur.The winning goal was earned by Rita Kumari of Jharkhand in the 62nd minute.
 

08 Jan 07 :Jammu and Kashmir overwhelmed Rajasthan 14-0 in a Cluster VI match of 5th Girls (U-19) National Football Championship 2006 being played at Indira Gandhi Stadium ,Pondicherry on Monday ,08 Jan 07.Meetu Singh accounted for Nine goals .Sakshi Bandral accounted for four and Pooja accounted for one goals.In the second match of the day Maharashtra beat Karnataka 2-1 in a Cluster VI match .Anjali Malhotra scored a brace for Maharashtra and Malavika scored the lone goal for Karnataka in the sixth minute of the match.
