VIVA KERALA

 

 

Brief History

 

         Viva Kerala was officially inaugurated on 19.8.2004 at a ceremony held at FACT ground.  Fisheries & Tourism Minister of Kerala Mr. KV Thomas and Sports Minister of Kerala Mr. Domanic Presentation was present. 

         The club has now successfully completed three years and has now been promoted to play in the National 1st Division.  Club won State Senior League 2006-07. 

         The club was formed in August 2004, Mr. Bhaskaran was elected as ‘President’, Mr. V.M. Liaquat Ali as ‘Secretary, Mr. Syed Masood as Treasurer and Mr. MV Antony & Mr Gokulam Gopalan as Committee members.  The club was registered with KFA.  The club is thus owned by Viva Sports (I) Pvt. Ltd.

 

Infra Structure Capability :

 

The club has leased a well maintained football ground and housing quarters from FACT.  The players are housed in these quarters along with the coach and run our own canteen under technical advise from a dietician.  Club  have also leased out a Gymnasium, next to the play ground.

 

Achievements :

 

2004-2005 Season

 

Beating all their opponents…conceding not even a single goal, Viva became the champions of Ernakulam FA League

 

2005-2006 Season

 

Viva ensured that for the second successive year they were the EDFA League champions.

 

Viva won all the six matches to retain the league title.

 

Viva’s next target was the All India Tournament.

 

Viva emerged as the champions of the tournament.

 

Viva also participated in the State League held at Calicut and gain entry to the National third division for 2006-07.

 

 

2006-07 Season

 

The most impressive thing about Viva Kerala’s performance is that Viva didn’t concede a single goal in the league

VIVA

A powerhouse of Kerala….

 

Viva stunned everyone by finishing second in the group to qualify for the finals in Calicut.

 

Viva finished as runner-up of the Second Division NFL and booked their place in the National Football League 2007/08.
